It’s that time of year again where all the scholarship deadlines are approaching. MTSU’s priority scholarship deadline is coming up very soon on December 1st. Students who apply for admission through the University (no separate application necessary) are guaranteed the following scholarships if they apply and submit documentation by the deadline:
- National Merit/Achievement/Hispanic Scholarship
- $6000 per year
- National Merit, Achievement, or Hispanic Semi-Finalist (based on PSAT scores)
- $5000 per year
- 3.5 GPA & 32 ACT (1410 SAT)
- $4000 per year
- 3.5 GPA & 29 ACT (1280 SAT)
- Academic Service
- $3000 per year
- 3.5 GPA & 27 ACT (1210 SAT)
- $2000 per year
- 3.5 GPA & 26 ACT (1170 SAT)
These scholarships are renewable for up to 8 semesters. We will accept the December ACT test scores for the December 1st deadline—the student needs to apply and have all other materials sent to the University.
Students with a 3.5 GPA and a 29 ACT are eligible to apply for the Buchanan Fellowship, which covers the full cost of tuition and a $1,000 textbook allowance for up to four years. Information on the fellowship as well as the application is available at http://www.mtsu.edu/honors/buchanan.php; students must apply for this scholarship by December 1st.
